This course was particularly applicable to my role as Library Director at Lambuth University. I was able to take hypothetical and contextual examples related to planning, organizing, and staffing and apply them to real situations in my library. Cost-finding and benchmarking projects were particularly helpful in showing ways to better use resources. One of the main issues discussed was the fact that people always come first. The course dealt with ways in which one should handle good and bad situations involving patrons as well as staff members.
