Application of Concepts

Because I was already a library director when I took this course, it was very applicable to my everyday use.  The benchmark project enabled me to find other schools of comparable size and consider ways to improve my library.  I also learned, through course readings and lectures, how to develop policies in all areas of the library.  By interviewing faculty members, I learned what areas were of interest to the faculty, how to improve those areas, and how to determine what projects we librarians thought were important might not be so important to the faculty.
